Strangely, I would not scratch Pezetta next game. I have not hated him. I would scratch Kapanen and Armia and insert Roy and Demidov. I think that might work against the Hawks.

Early playoff hockey didn’t hurt Suzuki and Caufield. Young player will gain an understanding of what is needed to play playoff hockey and work on it. This is « mère poule » mentality.

Come on man, the situations aren’t at all the same. That team had way more veteran presence, size, and ability to insulate the young guys. In particular, they had a big physical top-4 that logged heavy minutes and kept opposing teams honest.

This one has none of that, is overall undersized, and these rookies are going to be shoehorned into major roles regardless of whether they’re ready for it because that’s the only hope the team has to be competitive. Hutson is playing top-4 minutes, and Demidov is most likely going to be inserted right into the top-six. Suzuki and Caufield didn’t have to deal with any of that in ‘21, and they had a bunch of vets to help them in their supporting roles.

I’m not saying things will 100% go bad, but the team looks like they have nothing left and is one of, if not the youngest in the league. Things could go very, very badly.

Then why do you care about the "shot" stat instead of the "shot attempt" or zone attempt stats... Eye test as they say.

Habs will get so much better when they add 3 or 4 guys who can hit the net with a shot.
