What?
They've been the best line on the ice tonight.
That's not too hard plus they're getting matched up against the leafs fourth line. They should look amazing out there
What?
They've been the best line on the ice tonight.
If you get 1, you might as well get the other in OT.Need a point here
NOAs MSL tried Laine with Suzuki and Caufield even once this season?
I miss the old days where players didn't whine about every clean check.Leafs fans could argue Domi won that fight. But if his f***ing chin strap wasn't done up so damn tight, Guhle wouldnt have had to spend have the dam time trying to rip it off. I miss the old days of players removing their buckets and sometimes elbow pads.
Most important period of the season here. Big Nick and Laner need to show their stuff!
I agree with the suggestion earlier that if you fight after a hit you get an auto instigator. That's a great idea.I miss the old days where players didn't whine about every clean check.
Im more optimistic personally, I think adding Demidov will inject a good dose of talent on the top 6 and getting Heineman back will help too. I think all they need is a 3-4 days rest as a group, they will be fine and Im expecting a fun 1st round, might even upset the Caps.I don't think they'll get swept, but I don't expect them to win a round. That's OK. There's still building to do. The D needs improvement.
I mean, we're running Matheson-Carrier as a #1 pair. Savard is done as a D in NHL. Hutson is a rookie. Guhle is still an inexperienced D. He's still under 200 games & is only 23.
The forwards need more talent up front. We need a 2C. We need a bit more grit & size, too.
It's a still a team in the growth phase. Demidov will play Monday. He's 19.
I don't see you as an overly negative poster tho if I'm being honest.I had many, many, many years of hating how we ran this team.
But HUGO have come in and done exactly what I've wanted a mgmt group to do. We're seeing good results. Are they perfect? No. Same with the coach. And I get people calling out bad decisions or things they don't agree with. That's what a message boards are for.
But when you make up stuff that's nonsense to further a point, it undermines what you're saying. That kind of nonsense is getting called out.
Maxime Lapierre saying Kapanen and Pezetta are doing nothing on the ice is hilarious.
Bro retired before he turned 30
I don't think he's healthyWell, he's right about Pezzetta. Kapanen has been noticeable defensively & offensively. He probably should be in the AHL, though.
Is Heineman a healthy scratch again?
He will get plenty of chances with his speed but he doesn't convert. You would think that him and Laine would be a natural fit but it's simply not working. I would put our best players together on the 1st line and see what happens. Why?
He's created or contributed to some of the best chances from either side tonight.
Score is 0-0 last I checked. Chances are all anyone has created this far.
To hopefully see a good team eventually. This ain’t it. It’s not just one game either.

Are they losing? What is so important about this game?
Yeah just one off hits inciting fights is stupid but Guhle was laying everyone out lolI miss the old days where players didn't whine about every clean check.
You hate x so your entire comment is one sided and worthless. Enjoy your p***y hockey club since 94Clearly you haven't been reading my posts over the years. NOBODY was more negative than me.
This year, I didn't pick us for the playoffs. I didn't think our D would be good... I see us as an up and coming team.
Correct. Him I wish a long hard cold death.
Also I hate X. May he burn at the stake.
Now please, stop with this nonsensical BS that you're putting forth to get him in the lineup. I like the guy. Would love to see him in and I'd actually have him ahead of Struble. But I'm not going to make up nonsense like this to justify an argument.
1. Domi didn't give Guhle a choice.
2. Guhle wasn't going to turn him down.
3. X being in or in the lineup doesn't change 1 or 2.
Everyone knows this.
There are really good reasons to have X in the lineup. Fabrications only weaken positions. It's nonsense and you'll be called out on it.
Laine can't skate with those two. It sucks, but it is what it is.I'm so fed up of Newhook. Just go Caufield-Suzuki-Laine for the third period.
There's a lot less things to be negative about.I don't see you as an overly negative poster tho if I'm being honest.
Early playoff hockey didn’t hurt Suzuki and Caufield. Young player will gain an understanding of what is needed to play playoff hockey and work on it. This is « mère poule » mentality.I know they’re still in a growth phase; that’s why I wouldn’t be too upset if they missed. This season has been a success no matter what happens from here, imo.
People can pull the whole “team spirit” card in regards to my comment and be mad if they want, but I’d rather they miss and get to regrouping and working on improvements and adjustments for next year than see them get steamrolled and rack up a bunch of injuries to rookies because they’ve exposed them to brutal playoff hockey before the team is ready.
Probably injured i guessWell, he's right about Pezzetta. Kapanen has been noticeable defensively & offensively. He probably should be in the AHL, though.
