GDT: Game 80: Habs vs Leafs, April 12th, 7 PM | CBC, SN, TVAS

This team is cooked. Gonna get swept in round 1. Despite the great seasons by Suzuki, Hutson, and Caufield, I’ve never felt like a Habs team was as overmatched heading into the playoffs quite like the one playing in front of us right now. They seem banged up and exhausted. Might be better to miss, honestly, rather than risk major injuries to our guys for an exercise in futility when they have nothing left like this.
There's the spirit! You should suggest that to them ! Why the hell do you watch?

He's doing a LIDL Hal Gill. Trying to lay on the ice and do the octopus

It's weird because he is supposed to be a basic defensive stay at home D but everytime I watch him on the PK, he is running around like a headless chicken instead of doing the basic covering the right side as a right shooting D. Are the D coaches telling them to do this?

This team is frustrating. This is the game we should have played against Ottawa and we'd have had a chance in the third.
Not having a three goal lead might be an advantage for us this time. :D

At least people are seeing how much this team needs in terms of upgrades ?

There's just too many weaknesses. The 2nd line is a complete mess. That will probably be rectified by next season. I expect Evans to fill in for Dvorak next season with Dach and Newhook on the same line so hopefully they draw more favourable matchups. As for the defence, Savard is thankfully gone. Hopefully Reinbacher makes the team. But they still need another top 4 D but it's hard to properly determine without seeing what they have next season with the natural changes to the D core

Don’t watch then - you won’t have to complain

We're lucky to be tied, let's get the first one!
On one part the shots on goal are ugly but shot attempts are more on Habs side . To me that is a clear indication they holding their sticks harder and stressing.
That is part of the learning experience for a young team. This why you want to be in the mix , so they learn from that
