GDT: Game 80: Habs vs Leafs, April 12th, 7 PM | CBC, SN, TVAS

Who The F Knows with that idiot, I almost wish the Habs would have gotten demolished this year 7-0 every game and he would have gotten fired. Didn't like it when he was appointed the head coaching job and I hate it even more now seeing how he's mis managing players.

It's your right to disagree with the decisions of a coach who, by all accounts, make your favorite team overperform and defy expectations.

But to call him an idiot, really? I mean, who the F are you to believe that you're smarter than him? What exactly have you accomplished that gives you the wisdom to consider a successful and well beloved coach to be an idiot?

Wouldn't be surprising to lost this one too....leaves Hawks and a Canes team who might sit out some players....IN the end though Jackets might deserve it more than we do....with Jenner out for the number of games that he was....

Wouldn't be shock.....but if that happens, a good wake up call to stop loving your vets too much and play the guys that actually have legs and wrists....

Is Demidov playing? Asking as an outsider.

Poor at long term strategy (manage the 82 games, I would put poor/unprepared start in here) and at in-game management (usage of timeouts, line matching mostly).
I agree but what he does not good are peripheric qualities. The most important quality he have it. He have to developp the future core and so far he did well with Suzuki, Caufield, Ghule, Hutson, Monty, Heineman, Struble, etc. Finally the vets had a better year so the team goes to PO. MSL could improve and have better assistants with time.

Outside of hockey I'll say I've accomplished a shit ton with my life. Thanks though.
Furthermore he has nothing to do with this team overperforming this is all on the players themselves.

His decision making with his lineup has been putrid and not so sure he so "beloved" as you think!

Until they can prove otherwise, I'm just going to assume that we're going to be dominated in convincing fashion during the 1st period again. Down at least 2 goals.

Marty seems to have gone to the Sheldon Keefe school of having his players prepared for the start of meaningful games.

Would love to be proven wrong. Not holding my breath.

When was the last time Montreal picked the best guy for the coaching job despite what language or languages he spoke? Can you imagine that speaking French is a freaking criteria for hiring a HOCKEY coach in the NHL!
