What, don't start your starter like 4000 minutes in a regular season? Then what do we even pay them for??
If I were the GM of a real hockey team, looking to hire a coach, I would ask them three questions:
* What percentage of games should your starter play?
* Down by 1 goal / 2 goals, at what time should you look to pull your goalie?
* You get scored on one minute into the game and consider challenging the goal. How likely to succeed, percent-wise, would you need to feel you were before challenging?
Honestly, I don't think there's a coach in the NHL that could come close to answering all three correctly, but I'd settle for two with the third one close.
We still haven't had a coach who could get 1 right, FWIW.
