"If you were in America in 1976 and taking a break from celebrating the bicentennial, you may have ducked into a theater to see the movie Buffalo Rider - a tale of a fictional fella named Jones who roamed the Old West riding on the back of his, you guessed it, buffalo. Nearly 50 years later in the West end of New York state, the Red Wings won't have to worry about "Buffalo" Jones. Instead they will have to worry that the city of Buffalo is "jonesing" for a playoff run just as much as Detroit fans are, and will no-doubt be as sharp as a saber blade for today's game."

Compher's still shitting himself? Damn hope it's nothing too serious. Lyon's in net since it's a back 2 back.

Again won't be able to watch this one due to work. Man these Saturday matinee games are killin me.

First significant measuring stick game this season IMO. Both teams are on little winning streaks so you'd think they'd come into this with some energy/emotion, but lots of issues for both teams and early start/flu bug/Buffalo scheduling advantage makes it unpredictable. Cozens is an on-going concern for Buffalo as 2C and they're the only team with zero PP goals, minus-1 in goal differential with the man advantage. Wings have league's second-worst PK percentage, so something's gotta give when stoppable force meets movable object.

Measuring stick for a lottery spot.
