Check out the PIM's between these two teams.

Stars don't have any stand outs, Marchment the worst with 4 minors in 7 games.

Bruins have Zadorov with 8 minors in 7 games, McAvoy with 7 in 7, Jones with 4 in 3, Pasta even has 5 in 7, and Tufle is 2 in 2, imagine he played more games. Undisciplined hockey to say the least. Although, some calls questionable. Coyle's lone penalty was one of the worst calls ever.

And if think the B's PP sucks, somehow the Stars, Leafs, and Oilers are worse.

Whatever, just hope for 2 points.

I watched Buffalo beat them the other night and they did it with speed and disciplined play. So far this year that is most definitely not the Bruins, but that's what they will need.

I'm looking forward to the game and the Bruins being back at 7:00 pm. This could be a good sign - we are renovating our kitchen, I found a Bruins mug that was hidden in the back (I have a large amount of Bruins mugs) and I am using that today, it will start a winning streak. ;)

From the looks of the Stars roster, aside from Benn, they aren’t going to play a Stars game like the epic Stars game.
We should pound them through the boards seeing as we have the roster for it. Monty wouldn’t allow it the way Claude did. I wonder if Jay Leach would turn up the physicality?

Stars have a fast team, you cannot hit someone you cannot catch.

I hope this challenge will wake up the roaster I think we have talent but lack effort and urgency. If we come out flat in this game I really think Montys days maybe numbered

Dallas plays a strong defensive game and with the Bruins currently struggling just to get any offensive zone pressure, I expect a 3-0 , 3-1 loss

Everyone knows the issues are 13, 63,18,11 and even 88 points wise lack of production. Get those guys going to 70% of their '23-24 rates of production
and the team will improve significantly.

Didn't realize when we changed the roster over to not be "passive" it meant we couldn't make the first one out of the zone. If the first pass can't be made neither can the 2nd or 3rd. Puck possession is nine tenths of the law. The other tenth is the want to get it back.

Wow. The difference in talent and toughness then and now is glaring. Not even close.
That team won a Cup and this team will end up probably out in R1. Thomas\Rask way better than Swayman\Korpisalo. Swayman is the #3 Goalie there.

Defense better with pre knee injured Chara, Seidenberg and Boychuck. I take Chara over #73 by a decent amount. Will take Lindholm over Seidenberg but the gap is not like Chara over McAvoy. I take the rest of the '11 D.

The offense has by far the biggest gap with prime #37/46/18/17 and emerging #63, no contest.

Game of the goalies tonight. Underlying numbers between the two teams are pretty similar. Dallas has a little bit better puck luck to start the season. Seems like odds makers have this game as a coin flip or slight edge to Dallas.

The “Dallas games” of the past are unforgettable, and probably unattainable in terms of an entertainment standpoint. This team doesn’t have that sort of makeup to it, nor do many teams in the current era NHL.

But holy shit would that be something to see now.
