Can RNH, Drai and Walman return asap please?.. I loaded up on Oilers players this season on my fantasy team but now they are all out during my fantasy playoffs!!

The finals just started so lemme have them back for a few games!

I remember Stu's first game with us was a one gamer vs Ottawa where we won 8-5, but we needed those goals cause all 5 against were horrible. I remember being disappointed because he was nowhere near an NHL goalie and I thought "this is the guy they've been hyping from the minors? He'll never play another NHL game"

Then it was the next year he looked good. Now, before a million "HE's sTilL Not A nHl gOalIe" that's not the point.

Not that Rodrique has looked at all as Skinner did that first game, and your point is you wanted him to play more and have the team evaluate him better...but there's precedence of small exposure and then a fuller chance later on. Could still very well happen.

For what Pickard has given this team this year, why wouldn’t the coaches give him the start in his home town, Wpg? I’d go Pick in SJ and Wpg (it’s not a back to back)and let Skinner fill his pants against LA.

However, to be clear, whenever you post, I first look to read about what interesting, tasty food items you are preparing. Your post above was devoid of any food references and this was highly disappointing to myself and I’m sure others.

It’s not like he is playing his way out of the AHL. His numbers hardly justify a call-up at this stage, so a taste for a game seems reasonable. He is getting up there for a prospect. Maybe he will return to form next year with a (better?) different D.

And let’s remember Skinner was supposed to be the backup to Campbell for 5 years and that’s exactly what he is, a backup whose been thrust into the starters role while Holland, Jackson and Bowman all wrung their hands telling us starting goalies aren’t easy to find while 10 other teams have addressed and strengthened their starting goaltending position in the past calendar year.

Utter disdain and contempt for Oilers senior management for putting Skinner and the team into a position to fail while doing nothing than actively making the team older, slower, weaker and softer. We are run by idiots of the first order.

This is precisely why I don't hate on Skinner. He's being put into a position he's not suited for. Remember the days of "Taylor Hall, #1 Center"? It's similar to think due to management's failure to properly address concerns. That they did nothing all year just screams abject incompetence.

They play 4 games in the next 6 days.... tonight is gonna be as boring as they can make it I think. Also what a shit schedule

Not defending Skinner, I definetly remember that game however...

Skinner was 22 and in the middle of a pandemic and Rodrique is 24. They aren't and weren't in the same position. Skinner played 91 games in the AHL before his NHL debut, while Rodrique has played 145. Rodrique was a more seasoned goalie when he made his professional debut ho played the equivalent of another season +10 games of professional hockey before his debut. At the same age as Rodrique Skinner was putting up .914 and .905 in the NHL. The two goalies aren't facing the same situation and it probably won't end up the same. Lets not forget our D in 2021 was totally different and much worse than it is now.

but the who hell knows what will happen, goalies are voodoo and Rodriques AHL number are objectively better than Skinners were. Its entirely possible he comes back for his next cup of coffee and dominates, I just dont like the comparison of their first NHL games, they were entirely different situations.

Did not know the once Undefeated Vincent Desharnais was a shark. Thought he became a mercenary for the Canucks.

A very good backup actually. Probably one of the best in the league. Average starter, IMHO. He's not horrible.

pretty meh showing so wont be a big loss. No way a club picks him to be a NHL regular goalie next season.
The man will be an AHLer for a few more yrs.

I think the team will be going hard tonight to clinch\clench the playoffs tonight. We arent catching the Kings or Vegas anymore so just once we clinch they games will get 'boring'.
