Getting a player like O'Brien/McQueen is substantially better than drafting Brady Martin, Carter bear or lakovic...

Martin is a legit prospect. His skating leaves something to be desired but he can burn when he needs to. Plays a very rugged game, underrated skill on a Soo team that isn't coached very well and was low on talent.

That’s the issue with defensemen that are so tall. Easily fall and not mobile. Makar and Hughes are the type of defensemen you bike teams around, not guys like Edvinsson.

Dude this is the worst take out of a history of bad takes. You seriously want to suggest Ed is not mobile? While using Hughes and Makar to make your point. On that level no one is mobile.

This was the best game I've seen seider play in a long time. He was so engaged, physical, shooting the puck. The more the game went on, the more in sync him and simon seemed and they showed flashes of their brilliance. That one shift they had in the 3rd where seider hit the post twice was such a good shift and shows why they should have been together all season had we had more capable D.

Kudos also to Kasper kane and cat. What a game by them again. Speaks volumes that todd started Kasper in ot over Larkin and raymond who were no shows again. I cannot believe how bad those 2 have been since the break. Makes me worry about them going to the Olympics next year...

Thats assuming NY doesnt win each of their last 3 and CBJ doesnt get more than 6 points in their last 4 games.

Would Kasper have had an outside chance at a 30 goal season had Lalonde not had him buried on the 4th line? Or if Mac Daddy was the coach the whole season. Under McLlellan. 16 goals in the 45 games, .35 per game. Over 82 games that’s 29 goals. Obviously this is all hypothetical and completely ignoring many factors lol.

But not bad for a rookie who a lot said wouldn’t be very productive at the NHL level.

Yeah not great for the tank, but Marco’s looking like he could take the #1 C from Larkin at some point…which is a big big deal for the rebuild.
