What more does Jones have to do for this coach to understand that he's one of the 6 best options on D. It's insane. Lindgren, Trouba, and Gus continue to F the team when they're on the ice.

Ros is useless. Where is the patience with Rempe. You give him 3 seconds of ice time and expect... what. Let him play.

I think you should be patient with Rempe. I dont think lavi trusts him on the road yet. I bet he is in on saturday at the MSG rematch.

We have to treat this as a PO game. It is for the islanders so we have to match that and there are going to be many times in the post season when the team is tired or disheartened or run down and have to find their desire to win.

Practice that feeling: treat this game as one of those nights when you have to churn that hate and win even if the other team is more desperate, healthier, at home, on a run, etc.

This game is all mental for the Rangers.

This game has the energy of a road playoff game against a team that desperately needs a win. Rangers will bring their A game imo. Lots of guys with reasons to play hard, both personal and team related.

Id also say that rempe hasn’t really dont anything that great to earn more ice time. His defensive positioning is shaky at best, and he needs a lot more work on skating.
Fans love him because he’s a throwback, but he’s barely an nhl player at this point, and you give him a game here or there, and have him keep working on skills.

I think Rempe has showed that hes an NHL player, but we are running for the Cup now and I really have liked Laviolette's use of the full lineup down the stretch.

An everyday nhl player? No.
I hate Goodrow and Goodrow is significantly better than rempe.

Rangers needed a spark. Rempe provided that spark. But I think "showed he's an NHL player" is being a bit generous here. He showed that at times he can be an effective forechecker and create chaos for the other team trying to get out of their zone. He's shown a willingness to drop the gloves with anybody.

On the other side of that, he's shown that his skating can be a real issue taking himself out of position. He's a bit lost when the puck is in our own end. And if we don't maintain possession in their end or if he doesn't get a big hit resulting in a turnover, his effectiveness is gone.

In my opinion, he's shown that he's a work in progress and he benefited from getting a shot on a team that didn't really like their 4th line.

Couldn’t agree more.

I think he may get a look in the playoffs. He has the ability to change the dynamic of a game and therefore a series if he’s deployed at the right time.

But again let’s be honest he’s not a fantastic manager of the puck, if he can keep it on his stick.

The other problem is he needs to prove he won’t take a dumb penalty or major since the league is watching and the Rangers staff is scared of that when a goal could be the difference in a lot of the games

There’s no rhyme or reason for Laviolettes lineups decisions.

This is the matchup you want to play Rempe in , not against the f***in Habs minus Xhejaj .

Also Jones deserves a permanent spot in the lineup

NYRHFb has never said we need Trouba and Goodrow in the lineup

These are the games you can't trust him in.

Honestly believe he's more likely to make a negative effect than a positive one

The Rangers just need to worry about themselves, their play and where the level needs to be going into the playoffs.

Whoevers in their way and whoever they knock out or not along the way doesn't matter...

But id be lying if said it wont be sweet if putting big dents into Isles and Flyers chances along the way here

He’s definitely a work in progress and should only improve. He’s a fast skater and I like his 360 degree movement. The edges are going to take longer because he’s not completely filled out. Will take a few years at least. Just needs to add strength and work on the lateral moves the next few summers.

He has the ability to be a regular on the 4th line and the PK. Could end up 10-11:00 a night player

I mean it does matter, yes some cup winners had a gauntlet but a lot of them got favorable matchups, including the 22 Avs and our very own 94 Rangers.

The playoffs are such a grind every little advantage helps

I’m torn between rooting against or for the isles because if NYR beat them there’s a good chance they just end up playing them instead of missing the playoffs entirely

I personally thought Edstrom was better than Rempe. I get that Rempe is such a fun unique player but does he give you a better chance to win than Edstrom? I suppose its the intangible physical intimidation

i would play the whole game tonight and saturday with an empty net to try to help the islanders finish ahead of pittsburgh
