Bratty vs Hotson round 4

I 100% agree, Savard is the common denominator....He brings his D partner down, he's way too slow!
Montreal would be better off with a Strubble - Xhekaj pairing !

7 minutes of Xhekaj is way better than 7 minutes of Savard.

At the very least Xhekaj can calm the other team down a bit if they start taking runs at Montreal's smaller talented players and can keep up with the play while Savard needs a walker and looks lost on the ice right now!
I would also put X on the PP with his bomb... but let's get him into the lineup first.

Xhekaj is better than Savard and since Struble have been paired with him, he doesn't look better than Xhekaj so our playoff picture isn't affected at all

disagree completly. this isn't rock'em sock'em. if you can't see that Savard contributes significantly to one of the better PK units in the league, not sure what you have been watching.

5 on 5... yeah, Savard and X are both the weakest links... upside of X being more mobile is largely offset by his large volume of minor penalties... something that no coach in the NHL playoffs or in a playoff run will overlook.

Strubble is considerably more reliable and effective at ES than X.

For a Dman that played 14min/night, is a -13 with 6 points in 70 games this season, it's fascinating that so many fans have created an obsession with him. Fighting is a novelty that loses much of it's value come playoff time. Teams league-wide shorten their bench and high PIM players that add little value beyond their fists typically don't see much ice time down the stretch or in the playoffs... even less so when they are Dmen.

Struble is miles ahead of Xhekaj and Savard at this moment, but Xhekaj is better than Savard. The problem is that both Struble and Xhekaj struggle playing on the right side. We're kind of stuck with Struble - Savard

what is it exactly do you think X is better than Savard at in their current levels of play, outside of fighting and taking penalties... he's a better skater, sure, but his balance is worse and his positioning is weak, so he's hardly more effective in moving around the ice...)

Savard suck at 5v5 way more than Xhekaj. This is not even close. And while Struble have been better has of late, it wasn't the case during a good part of the season. For the pk, he can be replaced by Xhekaj who was really good on it before we got Carrier. In fact, he's the only one who was able to clear the front of the net. All the others are trying to do the goalie job by flopping on the ice.

Meh... Disagree with just about every point you made.

Like what?? Savard suck at 5v5. He simply cant keep up with the speed. Xhekaj looked good each time he was not paired with him and the only time Struble looked better than Xhekaj was when he was paired with Hutson. Now that he's back with Savard, he look terrible agains. For the pk, even utah coach Tourigny said that their best D on the pk was Arber because he was the only one who could clear the front. All the others are to busy trying blocking shoot and flopping on the ice. Savard only there because he's a rd, nothing else

Which part?

Every part of this poorly reasoned take.

Posted this easy chicken thigh recipe the other day. Has anyone made it? I’m getting it in the oven right now, after having marinated it overnight:

Update on the above recipe -- it's absolutely delish.

I skipped the condiments that the recipe called for once out of the oven and sprinkled the chicken with Tabasco sauce instead and it worked great.

Someone told me they did it with chicken breasts and it came out dry. You gotta use chicken thighs, much more juicy. Definitely doing this again.

Ok, so Detriot loses, CBJs win and Rags will win. Which I think eliminates the Islanders but still have to contend with stupid rags and BJs. And potentially even detroit cause I think they will have more wins... but I am not sure what the tie breaker is... is it overall wins or head to head and then wins?

Argh... let's f***ing win it tomorrow and just be done with all that nonsense.

Wifi has a contract next year while Savard will most likely retire. Nah, the boys are having fun and are winning. You leave the well liked vet in the lineup. Xhekaj will play next year.
