Tonight we clinch it.

Is this going to be another game where the habs don't show up in the first, fall behind and have to battle back yet again, but no one wants to address the piss poor starts ?

Grant McCagg seems to think he will make his debut tomorrow in Toronto. He finds it weird they had him fly into Toronto, not Ottawa or Montreal. He also said "other people" seem to think it may happen tomorrow as well, whatever that means.

How is flying into Toronto from Istanbul weird? Pearson is a major international hub.

Montreal plays there tomorrow, and it seems smart to meet up with him there. Why force him to make a connecting flight to Ottawa only to go back to Toronto. Now, that's weird.

Send the private jet to get him for the game. They really should have done that. Leave his shit all behind in Toronto with that chapperone that was with him.

Hey peasants, can someone please code me a macro that ignores all posts containing "Xhekaj" ?

At least that means the tanking years should be over, if we're back to whining about face punchers like it's the f***ing 90s.

I like the guy, he can be a very valuable bottom pair D for us, but can we just take a step back and realize this is blowing out of proportion in a ridiculous way?

Also they will want to give him at least one on ice training. Would be a good time to do it Saturday or Sunday while they are in Toronto

Savard should not be in the lineup, I don't care if you call up an AHL D and don't play Xhekaj just get Savard out of the lineup for the love of God

Its MSL strategy. Lull the opponent into a false sense of security in the first period and then have the team ramp up their play in the second/third. It usually work great

Your logic is killing my dreams of Demidov playing tomorrow and I don't like it.

Oh good. So Heineman is mad he’s not playing which means he’s a full-go and it’s on this coach never willing to make a change to a lineup just because they won. Lunacy. Pezzetta over Heineman. f***ing stupid

MSL barely gives Pezzetta any ice time to begin with, don’t understand why he keeps putting him in the lineup even though he’s not nhl caliber.

I think it's mostly been because our two vets on D has been playing some really poor hockey, while our forward vets (Armia aside) have been absolute monsters.

I think Slaf will have a big game tonight. I'm sure the arrival of Demidov will get his competitive juices flowing on top of possibly clinching a playoff berth with the win.

By all accounts, both of them are 100% team players, but I do wonder how their personalities will gel. Looking at the Habs roster, I'd say these two are in the top percentile when it comes to alpha personalities.

I also hope that seeing the immense talent and skill of Demidov will push Slaf to lean more into his physical game to distinguish himself as a player and add that key element to the top 6 on a consistent basis.

Will the arrival of Demidov awaken the true Slafzilla? Find out in the next episode of "Habs quest to 25"!
