No Pezz, thank God. Kapanen has looked the best with Newhook & Laine, so far, but he's probably just keeping the seat warm for Demidov.

We clinch a playoff spot if we win in regulation against Ottawa. That should allow us to rest Armia & Savard against Toronto, so Pezz probably gets back in on Saturday.

Take care of business tomorrow Habs. Get it done.

Fat Savard or MM in the lineup when they clearly are useless and tired .. and sitting Arbs. What a dolt of a coach. Games against the sens are rough , so let’s dress the softest lines of the year

He was in the lineup when Forsberg/Hutson happened I think they expected him to do something. Pezz had a fight with Englund.

Expecting a tight game 4-3, 5-4, etc hopefully in our favour.

Demidov on the PP will have an impact I think. Always helps short-term bringing in such a big talent. Look at how Laine had instant success. The challenge will be to continue contributing once the initial boost wears off. But between Hutson and Demidov alone I think we'll have enough dynamic creativity to do so.

1) Demidov-era likely starts Monday
2) Demidov likely starts on PP2 meaning he won't really get that much time to generate chances

1)damn that's right
2)I think pp2 would get some decent time if he's on it
If we clinch playoffs by then, PP2 will get good time and maybe even more than the first unit. I'm sure those last two games will strictly be for resting some guys and giving a ton of ice time to Demidov for him to learn as much as possible before the playoffs.

Unbold Predictions:

Timmy Stu dives multiple times

Greig cheap shots someone with his fake tough guy act

Matheson controller disconnects leading to a 1st period goal

Armia hits nothing, not an opponent with a body check, not a teammate with a tape to tape pass or the net with a shot on goal - especially if its empty

Suzuki wins it in OT
Laine PP-goal?

Bergevin built a team that made the finals. And a significant part of that team is that huge physical D we had. Am I not able to critique the team just because it went to the Finals ? Well i will. One of the problems with the team is we were missing a PMD ( could have had Devon Toews with our 2 2nds ). Bergevin just didnt value skill as much as he should have. Would really have helped against Tampa.

I greatly appreciate the overall efforts of this management and have been happy with MSL overall. Best since Demers. However , in my view he doesnt place as much value on physicality and trulence than I think a team needs. He isnt prepared to have the cons that come with Xhekaj while I am. I mean i get the frustration with the penalties and not a solidly defensive guy, but he brings elements you need in tough games, playoff games.

Do we want to pass the Sens?

The idea of a Leafs/Habs series sounds like a lot of fun - but I actually wouldn't mind going through the Metro. I think Washington is a bit of a paper champion, and both Carolina and NJ also seem vulnerable this year.

In the Atlantic - I don't like Toronto. It's funny to always make fun of them - but I could actually see them go far this year. And Tampa too - could have one last great run. And although I don't think Florida will do well (not 3 years in a row), they are cup champions so can't under estimate them.

Hoping we win tonigh to clinch - but I still rather we go in as WC2. Maybe an OT win would be ideal.

I'm very slowly starting to come around to the Habs chances in the playoffs. I'm usually the overly optimistic one around here - but I just didn't see how we'd do well if we qualified. But Suzuki and especially Hutson's amazing play recently has made me a believer - and when you add Demidov on top of that, I could certainly see us surprise.

But the one thing this team lacks big time which puts it a massive step behind the 2021 team is Carey Price. Habs had no business beating Toronto - and Price stole that series, one of the best performances I've ever seen by a goalie. And he kept it up for 2 rounds afterwards, with Jets and Vegas.

I like Montembeault and happy he made the 4 nations and stuff - but I don't have a lot of faith in him as a goalie for a playoff run. I hope he does well - but I don't expect him to steal a series for us and I certainly don't expect him to have an all-time great performance as Price did.

I should've took a ticket for this game. To dou this Ottawa's trip.

I was too much Demidoumaniac this week.

I won't be comfortable until we have clinched. Preferably we get it done ourselves instead of leaving it to the other teams to lose.

Let's f***ing go boys!!!!

TONIGHT!

btw. Any of you freaks know where Demi is? I am assuming he jumped another flight from TO to Mtl. I am expecting him in Ottawa tonight to meet the team and start getting around da boys!

Not expecting much from either teams tonight not expecting much in Carolina or Toronto either. Snoozefest games until the playoffs probably

They should sit Armia until he’s 100%. Healthy Kapanen is a better option, especially if we’re qualified.

I think it's pretty much confirmed he's staying in TO until the lads get there for their game tomorrow night.

I think he plays if we clinch and he sits (until Chicago) if we don't.
