GDT: Game 78: Sharks @ Wild 5:00pm NBCSCA

Nice effort and hat trick and all, but they better go 1-2-1 or worse to make this a successful tank. I would take Schaefer than 1-2 meaningless point.

What a fun f***ing game.

It felt a bit like the Eklund hat trick game. Macklin finally put in all the goals he wasn’t potting the last few games and Will, I mean, damn man, that kid looked dangerous every shift. Let’s all remember him last year and compare that to now — what a turnaround. All credit to him and Warsofsky for getting here, I’m not sure I’ve ever seen a player grow this much over one season. I’d love for Will to center his own line but boy is it ever fun to watch these two together.

Also, I thought Ferraro looked quite good today, very mobile before the injury.

Ostapchuk is also showing a bit more.

Kovalenko very obviously works well with Macklin — I don’t think it’s a shock that once he got on that line, they started working so well. He’s a great F1 and can stick with them skill wise.

SNOG announcement

No SNOG tonight.

And while we're on negative talk, everybody except 7 SNOG'ers has been eliminated from having a shot at this season's title.

It wasn't great, but still probably the best we've seen from Ostapchuk so far; maybe getting away from Goodrow and playing alongside a couple guys who can skate and occasionally get a zone exit meant he could show off his own skating ability—there were a few moments where he was pretty impressive going through the neutral zone once he got chugging (considering his size).

Celebrini 62 points in 66 games, .94 point per game. 8 points in 4 games to reach 70.

Smith 44 points in 70 games, .63 point per game. 6 points in 4 games to reach 50 points.

If both smith and Celeberini both played the full season they could of reached 51 and 77 points respectively.

Man, should have stayed up to watch this one! Hopefully Celebrini and Smith can close out the last four strong, while the team gets a max of Chicago’s points+3. Wouldn’t have minded the extra point with Celebrini completing the rooster trick! Watch them put up 2ppg in the last four and bring home the Calder (and a top 5 finish for Smith)!

It’s tough to think of a comparison for Smith- elite vision, deception, and hands but no skating or size is kind of a usual combo. Patrick Kane with no legs lol? Imagine when he adds muscle and improves his skating.

I’d have found it amusing if CGY caught Minnesota but last nights results pretty much ends that possibility.

Could you imagine if they averaged 60 points? That would be insane!

We’re going to need to score 7-9 a game with Georgiev. Speaking of, who should we hard match against McDavid? Thrun-Liljigren, Vlasic-Thompson, or Carlson-Schuldt? All great options…

Smith is more Panarin than Kane although I don't think he'll ever come close to a 120 point season. Maybe the 80-90 points Panarin usually puts up.
