Why did they send Graf back down? Wasn't he one of the more positive contributors lately?

One more week until the season is mercifully over. I'm not even sure how much I care about the playoffs at this point. The NHL Season just feels too long.

My guess is it was probably done to help the Cuda try to secure home ice advantage for the first round of the playoffs

Big game for the Cuda tonight. Not much in terms of stakes for the Sharks.

But man, the Sharks are thin at forward right now with the Toffoli injury. With Graf sent down I think if someone else were to get banged up it would constitute an... emergency.

Graf was always planned to be sent back to the Barracuda for their playoff run. There's a reason he was paper-demoted at the deadline.

The Sharks basically know what they're getting out of Graf now, he knows what his place is and what he needs to work on and now gets a chance to compete for a championship, and the last six Sharks games are utterly meaningless. There's no reason not to just throw whatever garbage we have left on the ice.
