Simple. Their entire mentality was about getting one guy a record, it no longer was a team game IMHO.

Most of us are hoping it's because of the record chase and nothing left in the regular season, but it is concerning. They need to show a pulse against the Canes or they will surge going into the playoffs and first round opponent will take notes.

I think part of it is that teams have ramped up their respective games as the playoffs near but the Caps haven't.

Well the Hurricanes ramped up play only seems to work against us because they lost 3 in a row after they destroyed us.
Canes have lost 3 straight. We know exactly what they’re gonna do.
But we seem to content to play the whole game in our end.

To be fair, that is the least of their issues.
The Caps aren’t beating any NHL team with this play.
They look like frauds I won’t lie, and Carolina has lost 3 in a row to bad teams

So on the 2nd goal, Wilson basically scored it on his own net by ramming the Cane into Lindgren, who got knocked back with the puck over the goal line?
He’s going to leave this summer and it’ll be another Siegenthaler-esque fumble.

Oh, no it's definitely not the least of their issues. He's directly responsible for the first goal along with Lindgren, completely lost his man, and he's getting eaten up by the forecheck and is a big part of them getting trapped in their own end.
