Johanson's line DID NOT have a goal last nite. Joey scored when he was playing with Dubie and Atkinson. check the box score. Dubie and Cam got the assists.

And this is not an issue of chemistry. Literally, Frattin lost the puck every single time he touched it. And he when he turns the puck back over to the other team, it takes away from Joey's opportunities. Maybe, maybe he will have a better game today. BUT taking that chance in this critical of a game is not good coaching. Today IS is a critical game. Not a time to be tinkering.

Comeau will score a goal finally. He's getting chances, he's due for a goal. We had a lot of shots on Nabakov last game but they were't challenging shots. We better have better opportunities this time around.

And really, I'm not sure what I may be missing, but I see Skille as being on roughly the same level as Frattin ... I don't think that's a huge upgrade, personally.

Not huge, but Skille brings speed and a shot that so far Frattin has shown that he cant match. Honestly, if were going to be putting these type of guys(Tropp, Frattin, Umby ,Letestu, etc.) with Johansen IMO Skille(WHEN HEALTHY) would be the best option because of those 2 qualities he brings.

As of now Calvert should definitely be swapped with Frattin.

Umby/Mac/Boll had a goal last game. So did Johansens line, it's not all about stacking your talent from top to bottom, it's about chemistry and balancing things out so the other team has more than one line to worry about. I would play Tropp over Frattin too but he's probably putting him with RyJo to see what they have with him. Are any of you having fun with this? Such a negative, worlds over threads lately....I'm excited as hell to get down there around 3 and have some bowls of loud mouth soup! Go Jackets!

Loud mouth soup! Never heard that before, but I will be using it on a regular basis from now on.

I'm for sure having fun. This is not the team that lost 7-0 in Alberta. Good things are gonna happen today. I can feel it.

Europe. Somewhere.
We got this. Jackets understand the importance of this game, they know they can't lose points especially with Jersey gaining. Jackets win 4-1, 3 points up with 4 to go (which should = playoffs).

You can listen through NHL app or Blue Jackets app. Only watch options would be paying for center ice online or using a site like feed2all.eu

Wow, looking at the standings and looking at where we could have been had we not given away points this week hurts. 2 points against the Avs, along with at least 1 against the Hawks could have tied us with Philly, put us 4 behind NYR with a game in hand, and we'd be going for a 5 point cushion tonight instead of 3.
Oh, if only...

As a Cleveland native living in Minnesota, I like both the Wild and Blue Jackets.

Please win today, Blue Jackets! This is a huge game starting shortly. Have to win!

im nervous

No need, it's only a sport.. but this I can tell you, if they lose today there is a much less chance they will make the final playoff cut.. That said, they can lose today and still make it but it will then require running the table...

Basically, John Davidson, Keek and Todd are the only ones who need to be nervous..

Nah it's the opposite. If they lose i'll be in a bad mood for game of thrones tonight and then get up to work pissy tomorrow.

If they lose John Davidge wakes up with an 8 figure portfolio and not a care in the world.

Skille has only played 2 games since returning from an injury.

And scored in bunches. We need him up here pronto.

Yep, I think we might need a "Jack Skille is Injured" thread. Every GDT, there are multiple people demanding a Skille call-up ;)

Healthy enough to score a lot of goals. Maybe we need a "Jack Skille is not currently injured" thread.

I may be wrong, but to call up Skille, wouldn't the team need to either demote someone, or put someone on IR?

And really, I'm not sure what I may be missing, but I see Skille as being on roughly the same level as Frattin ... I don't think that's a huge upgrade, personally.

I don't think we brought anyone up after Foligno went on IR, but if we have to send someone down, swapping Skille and Frattin would be fine, there's no waiver problem at this time of year. And yes, Skille has demonstrated this year that he is a major scoring threat. His numbers are way up at both levels. Skille plays a physical and complete game, the thing he has missed over the years is scoring, which is not a problem for him now.
