But let's be honest, Korpi isn't the key tonight (he is playing very well though). Last time Korpi played, the CBJ O looked nothing like this. That's the nature of playing a bunch of kids, they are gonna be streaky.
Facing a backup Goalie doesn't hurt either.

I have to wonder where we would be in the standings if foligno had even a remotely close stat line to last year , this year . You would have Boone at 30, Saad near 30, and Foligno near 30. U know what they say about ifs and buts ....

The biggest move of this offseason in my mind , would be to go out and try to bring in an assistant coach that is known to develop defenseman . With Murray , Jones , and possibly Werenski next season , pretty exciting thought. People that saw Werenski last night were pretty impressed with how he ran power play

The Canes and Jackets are not all that different when it comes down to it. Out of the Metro Division teams they have the two smallest markets and are the least established in their markets (Canes didn't move to NC until 1997, CBJ started play in 2000, well after the 6th most-established Metro Division team in its area, the Devils, who have been in NJ since 1982). Because Columbus (more of a college football city) and the Triangle (more of a college hoops area, the Tar Heels are currently playing in the Final Four) are smaller markets and/or have less of an NHL tradition compared to the NYC, Philly, Pittsburgh and Balt-Wash areas, they currently have a hard time competing with the other Metro Division teams although the Canes did win the Cup while they were in the SE Division.

Very excited about next year. It's a real drag, Boll, Campbell, and Clarkson are gonna get wedged into the lineup ahead of some real deserving talent though.
You speak truth, Big Z. In fact, in you'll recall, the Columbus market was the second choice for the Whalercanes. I'll add that Pittsburgh REALLY struggled financially until they won their first Cup. No reason Carolina and Columbus can't become a Pittsburgh - except with classier fans.

I have a feeling Boll is bought out, especially with prout being resigned . We should move Campbell, that leaves Clarkson just needing benched

The experience will benefit Korpisalo more than the work will benefit Bob. He can get the work in camp next season.
