Murphy didn't have the skating, but he was the kind of player who always made the right decision. Really high IQ and the perfect partner to Lidstrom. Reinbacher has great skating, but I think that's kind of the type of defenseman they want. Obviously, they're not expecting a HOF career spanning 20 years, but moreso the guy who's detailed oriented and does all of the crucial details that add up in a game.

Thats why I haven't given up on him. I think he'll start converting on those missed scoring chances.

He had to deal with LeZero in the AHL and Therrien wasn't a fan. Internally the Habs were a mess with no one the same wavelength and there wasn't any cohesive effort on the players development during the Bergevin era, so nothing new.
