It's actually baffling how incapable of finishing everyone on this team is. They've genuinely played a strong game, yet not a soul can piss a drop.

Others teams just casually shoot and score without issue.

Not the Oilers. They need to seemingly go through Dante's Inferno to get a goal.
It's been a problem all year. Only two players capable of creating offense. Remove those two players and this is what you get.

We’re gonna have another decade of darkness sooner than we all think, horrible asset management, no good prospects, no good roster players, horrible management. It’s coming boys, I’m telling you, it’s coming

They never carry their momentum into the playoffs anyway so it doesn’t matter. They’ve played Game 1 shaky pretty much every year.
With better teams against worse opponents, a sobering thought about this years team.

The positive, as far as I'm concerned, is that my expectations are at an all time low going into the playoffs so the hurt will be far less and I'll be pleasantly surprised if they make a run. I've never believed in this team even when healthy.

Can’t believe we are going to fire another coach after 2 seasons. But hey. At least that means these guys will try again next year after the mid season firing.

It sure would be nice if a coach couldn't get in his own f***ing way here, for once.

Nah, as long as McDavid and Draisaitl are top players the Oilers will be competitive and they should be that for at least a few more years. The Cup window is likely shut though.

Who cares how many coaches a team has if they wind up turning there season around? I never understood hitching yourself to a coach just because you don't wanna be known for firing coaches if it leads to mediocrity or worse.

That's assuming McDavid sticks around. We could be facing a Gaudreau/Tkachuk situation if things don't improve.
