Yeah he does. And that's the part you really hope improves with time. I just take note of the fact that he's an offensively-geared player playing on a team that's offensively extremely limited outside of one line. (thanks Geek again!) So his weaknesses are very much on show in a situation where it's hard to show off his strengths.

As @Dr Quincy said, if a young player is good enough they'll still find a way to impress and produce, and I agree. We do need to see more from Lysell. I'm just willing to show some patience with him.

On the contract, no, he's signed up for one more year.

Yeah I'm not writing him off or anything. I do think he has to show something by the end of the year though. I think he gets passed over in the offseason if he doesn't stake his claim. It's all up to him now.

It usually takes new guys a year to settle in. Between the move, training camp injury, coaching switch, it’s not surprising that he’s playing more like himself,
