Not to be an Eyore but he needs to be better without the puck and when near other players to play in the NHL. He will get the rest of the season with the big club until the Providence playoffs start but isn't he playing for a contract?

Lysell? I think his first AHL season as a 19 yr old slid so he still has another year on his ELC after this one

Yeah he does. And that's the part you really hope improves with time. I just take note of the fact that he's an offensively-geared player playing on a team that's offensively extremely limited outside of one line. (thanks Geek again!) So his weaknesses are very much on show in a situation where it's hard to show off his strengths.

As @Dr Quincy said, if a young player is good enough they'll still find a way to impress and produce, and I agree. We do need to see more from Lysell. I'm just willing to show some patience with him.

On the contract, no, he's signed up for one more year.
