GDT: GAME 76: YOUR SEATTLE KRAKEN (31-38-6) at Our So-Called I-5 Rivals (34-27-13), 7:30pm PDT

So for Boeser,Demko and Quinn Hughes the Kraken send Gru,Burakovsky,Dunner,Rehkopf,Catton,Eberle,Firkus and Seattle 1st rounder in 2025...of course the Kraken have to retain 1/2 of Gru and Burakovsky's contract...do you it?

Get Daccord a shutout and announce immediately after the game they're shutting him down for the season and Grubauer will close the rest of them out.

How nice would that be? The FO and coaches, though, will probably decide to play Daccord every remaining home game at minimum to keep selling those extra large servings of hope.

If you told me before the season that Burakovsky would be getting his 9th goal of the season in this meaningless dumpster fire 76th game, I'd have laughed in your face.

Man sorry not sorry the Canucks look like absolute garbage this game. I cant tell if they're just horrible or if they've completely stopped trying. Some combination of both perhaps?

Johnny,Jugnauth is an overager...as for Catton he has to put on some muscle and play the Wing cause the Kraken Centre positions are accounted for...

Canucks subforum sounds ready to drive Boeser to the airport to get him out of town. Very similar to lurking on the Vegas forum end of last season and seeing their thoughts on Stephenson. Hope that's not a bad omen.

I don’t mind the resting Joey part, but Gru the playing part,um, no.
He’s done nothing to earn any playing time. He’s statistically the worst goalie in the league. You owe him nothing playing time wise. If he wants more ice time, he should have played better.

Bring up the kid goalies, at least if you lose at least they’ll gain experience by getting NHL minutes.

Comin' out of my cage, and I've been doing just fine.
CUZ I'M MISTER WRIGHTSIDE!

Missed the game but just saw the highlights on youtube. Good win.

Some observations:

Is Bura starting to turn it around? He had has 10 points in 16 games in March, but has been on a roll and has 9 in his last 10. He has also looked more engaged. His passing has become much sharper and he is shooting the puck more often as well.

Eyssimont has been very effective for us as well. He is obviously not someone we can rely on for scoring but seems like solid 4th line who can chip in now and again. A good energy player who we should try to re-sign if the AAV is reasonable.

Wright's shot was hell of a release. He has 18 goals for the season now. Hitting 20 is going to be hard in 6 more games but it is very reassuring to see him improve.

McCann also seems to have improved over the last few games. More engaged though I still wish he shot the puck a little more.

I hope Bura is picking it up cause we should be jettisoning him from the sun and hopefully someone else can pick him up

That is what I am hoping for too.

In my ideal off-season we can find a way to move Bura, Oleksiak and Gru. Addition by subtraction and all that.

I think it's more like buying out Gru(no one takes that contract even at 50% retained) while keeping the other two guys and hoping that Burakovsky can somewhat bounce back next season.
I don't think we should give up the assets needed to trade Burakovsky and Francis probably loves Oleksiak too much to trade him.

BTW: I really hope Francis doesn't trade our first round pick(no matter where it lands) for some dude that is a tier below Marner/Pastrnak cause he feels the pressure and needs to "win now".

I can go either way on Bura. He was a ghost early on, but as Fistfull said he’s been productive of late. Is it a fluke of small sample size or is he just finally healthy and putting it all together?

I don’t want to have to give up assets for someone to take him, also don’t want him blocking the path of any minor league stud.

If he plays well and stays healthy you obviously would keep him,
