Can't catch a break with Mtl continuing to keep winning. That said, our schedule got tough and they have a pretty easy schedule lately.

As infamous folklore monsters, defend your castle against waves of angry villagers.

It's quite fun. Pretty straightforward co-op game. You play as a group of monsters defending your lair from angry villagers coming to kill it/you. Gorgeous figs, great components. Good variations so it's not the same every time.

I can recommend it if your group likes co-ops.

What are some of your fave games? My group likes Spirit Island quite a bit, and Terraforming Mars. me and a couple other guys are way into historicals, especially US Civil War and WW2 wargames.

What changed with this team and McClellan? We were crushing teams winning in Jan Feb now we're just gettin by winning. Did McClellan change something?

I’ve been thinking the same now ever since the end of the 4 Nations Tournament.

I might be waaaay off base…I’m thinking McLellan came in and realized that this team was already calling it quits on the season…So no system was emphasized - just go out there and have fun, play hard, show them what ya got!

We’ll - after that run of success - I’m thinking McLellan is gonna get this team into the playoffs - April in the D is back - time for him to leave his mark - time for a system that this team can implement and continue with similar or even better results!

Power play got colder, Raymond and Larkin slowed. Some rookies struggling at the tail end. Seider having some off games. Goaltending was goofy for a good long while and was actually losing us some games. PK was ass still.

It’s like this every season, or so it seems…I’m beginning to think the Leafs will win the Cup before Larkin skates in a playoff game for the Wings.

We're watching. We're taking notes. The cap's going up and we have a great prospect pipeline.

When Lalonde wanted to make his mark on a team, he wanted a big, shot blocking pairing. The wings ended up signing Holl that off-season lol.

Well he already has.

Yes I was well aware of that - his rookie season - a whole 5 games of playoff hockey - on a Red Wings squad that had notable players like Datsyuk, Zetterberg, and Kronwall…AKA - the last time this team was in the post season.

At least he provides some consistent albeit in a not so good way.

Honestly I wonder this all the time. What exactly does a coach add TBH? What if you jsut let the playres do what feels right all the time instead of trying to mentally check in with themselves about a system? I'm not even sure if that's ever been tried.

Like you said, these guys are pros in the top league - they're obviously not clueless as to what to do with the puck. I genuinely wonder if a "hands-off" coaching style would ever work with a team.

Mclellan never addressed the problems of this team until now, and that is our atrocious PK and odd man rushes. You have no chance to make up for one of them, let alone both.
I am a bit surprised people have not realized this yet.
