I don't wish to comment on his private life as much, but the comment he made a couple of years a go when Wings traded Bertuzzi stuck with me, and I am paraphrasing : ”It is upsetting to be where we are at the trade deadline and seeing our teammates and friends being traded elsewhere again...” For the record, I don't think there is anything wrong with Larkin's comment.But when he said it, I realized how much of a burden this was for him. Todd made a comment to that extent when he was hired as well. Like it is all on Larkins shoulders, must be exhausting.

Completely agree and this is what I’ve been saying. Nobody’s saying Larkin doesn’t care. But if being captain is such a massive weight on his shoulders he’s unlikely to be the right guy for the job.
