From a league wide standpoint, I've found this year to be uninteresting. Rarely tune into OOT games, just briefly watch the Oilers and post in these threads occasionally.

Am I just getting old and bitter?
We got as close as you can possibly get without winning it all. There’s a letdown this year, and there’s a sense this team doesn’t have it in them to get back there. From a botched offseason to regression throughout almost the entire roster… and now a slew in f injuries. Hockey also just kinda sucks with all the off ice stuff spearheaded by dinosaurs. The 4Nations Cup was exciting but the majority of this season has been boring.

Wish they'd give Savoie a shot when McDrai are out. Maybe he'd bring some offensive spark to the team.

Seems like management and coaching prefer playing geriatrics instead. Watch out, Henrique or Perry might break a hip.

Some of the comments in here are massive overreactions. You show me a team that has like $40 million dollars out of their lineup that wouldn't struggle. Like f*** me, this team is top heavy and those top heavy guys are all out. Some of y'all need to chillllll
You're probably right. Nonetheless I'd like to see some more intensity.

Take 3 players the level of McDavid, Drai, and Eckholm off any team and see what happens.
This should show you what kind of supporting cast the oilers have built around 2 generational players. This should be an average team without the top 2 guys- but instead it’s a bottom feeder that struggled against the sharks and kraken.
