We need his mass (his phat ass) to engulf the puck in critical situations. This has proven to be a winning formula this year so far.

I don't think he cannot be proactive. In fact, I am pretty sure he has proactively decided not to make changes. Roster's staying exactly where it is until the next loss. He hasn’t changed his tie - probably hasn’t changed his underwear either - for the same reason. 100% irrational, but what ever.

The reality is, though, that the Habs are highly unlikely to win every remaining game - - nor are the teams they are competing with for the last playoff spot.

I think it's important that Monty doesn't get worn out during this stretch run. Dobes should start on Sunday regardless of the outcome of tonight's game. They have another game Tuesday versus the Leafs which Monty will be starting. Monty should not be playing 3 games in 4 nights.
