Well, apparently, we can't eliminate the Bruins tonight. I just realized they're playing Carolina this afternoon. If Boston loses to Canes, Bruins are out. I can't see them beating the Canes. Oh well, woulda been nice.

However, we can still eliminate Philadelphia with a win tonight. If Pittsburgh loses to Dallas today & we beat Philadelphia, both Pennsylvania teams are out.

I wonder if they'll actually fall into a model like the Price years. Swayman is a good goalie, and the Bruins have a few good, young pieces on defense. They are sparse in offensive talent, outside of Pastrnak who is far better than anything the Habs had during the Price years. I think they'll bottom out this year and then make a return to a mostly middle of the pack team, like the Habs did after 2012.

Earlier today I checked my preseason prediction ; at the time I wrote « if Dach and Laine play at least 60 games each, and if we stay at ‘ league average ‘ games missed to injuries, and because Burrowes isn’t in charge of power plays, the Habs might sneak in with about 92pts.
Funny I was heavily relying on Dach and didn’t even mention Hutson….. but heck, I should be pretty close when the season ends.

At this point Dobes is not good enough to play and should be in Laval. Primeau is 19-2 in Laval.

Dobes has been really bad, but playing Montembeault 3 times in 4 days is suicidal. And you have an other back to back next week, there you could give it to Sam.

I'd give Dobes the start against Nashville, and hopefully the last game of the season because we will have clinched.
