I feel bad for their fans. They probably should have had some affordable tickets in there. Sure, they’ll be sold out fast, but at least you aren’t killing your middle class fan base entirely. They can’t possibly survive this.

Yeah. It just does not add up. There is talk almost every about them moving, being sold or having issues finding a home arena. And they are not a good team. The fans deserve much better than this.

And where are they suppose to play at in arizona? They have no other options but ASU and the team isn't moving.

That’s sort of what I was getting at. Crazy that they just announced the cheapest tickets next season are $110 per seat
It might be a brilliant move.

Since they never sell out in the larger arena anyhow, and Phoenix is a big winter destination for winter travel, they may have realized that they don't actually have a fanbase, and that all the tickets they have been selling for years have really just been fans of other teams visiting the area....

With this new plan, they are maximizing revenue for the limited amount of tickets that they typically sell anyhow, so the effect is a net positive!

It would be nuts if true, but it’s not. They have a fanbase. A middle and upper class fanbase that live in the east and southeast part of that metro area. That’s why Glendale didn’t work out, it would be like if climate Pledge were in Tacoma and all the fans were in Seattle and north of it. Too damn far to drive. Now it’s too damn pricey.
