I honestly think the Habs hate at this point is ridiculous.

I started following the Bruins pre-Orr. 1971 was the peak of Habs hate for me. The late 70's teams didn't just own the Bruins, they owned everyone. Those Montreal teams were just that good.

The last 15-20 years? What's to hate.

Tonight, go Habs go!
2010: Line brawl and goalie fight between Thomas and Price in one game. Chara smashes Pacioretty into the boards and gets the mounties sicked on him..
2011 first round: Obviously a nice memory for Bruins fans
2014 2nd round of the playoffs: Bruins get eliminated and Lucic tells Dale Weise he's going to kill him
2016 Winter classic: Bruins get embarrassed 5-1 at Gillete

The Panthers have taken public enemy number 1 in the last few years, but I still remember all that. I'm very much allowed to still hate them. Way more history between these two teams than anything that has happened recently, and also still plenty has happened in the last 15-20 years.

Just because Chara and Bergy aren't here anymore and guys Like Kovalev and Weise aren't there anymore doesn't mean I don't have a disdain for that franchise and their fans most times.

Win tonight, lose out.. I don't really care about any of the other games.

Edit: Also Jack Edwards yelling at Roman Hamrlik to "GET UP" is an amazing clip. Mike Ribeiro dive.. Those teams were grade A floppers.

This game is a win win, lose and the tank keeps driving forward, win and you slow down the Habs playoff drive. I won't lie though, a loss better serves the franchise and is my preference.
I really cannot stand the word "tanking" so everyone you have two weeks to get it out of your system, after two weeks I will be signing an executive order to ban the word "TANKING" from this website at least by Bruins fans. Fair warning. :D🇺🇸

Yeah, not sure why it has to be Viel or Lysell sitting. What do Beecher and Brown bring to the table?

Again, dumb. They're sitting at the 4th overall pick.
Yes, but do you know who is making this pick and his overall success in past drafts. Probably end up with another Zboril, Senyshyn, etc. .

We're not rooting for the Habs to win. We're not all decked out in Montreal jerseys waiving pom poms, we're just hoping the Bruins stay where they are in the standings. They beat the habs, so what? What's the gain there? They move out of the top 4 overall pick and jump to the 6 overall pick.
I want Montreal to miss the playoffs by a single point. It would be comical if they got smoked tonight by a team that got their pants pulled down by the Ducks and Sharks while they’re fighting for a playoff spot. Bruins can always lose the next 6 games, and they most likely will.

I hope we win this friggin thing 16-0 and I hope some knocks Jack-eye into the middle of next week. I hope someone goes full-blown Looch on their goalie and sets their joke of a franchise Back about 30 years. I also want someone to drop their pants and take a huge dump on their stupid looking logo at center ice during the game. I’m thinking Zadorov is a good candidate for it.

May I use this in the GDT rant?

I will never root for the Habs.

But if the Bruins happened to lose this evening, it would be the best possible outcome.

It's the 2024/2025 Bruins, though, which means they're going to win.

Easter Sunday afternoon, 1971?

That G2 collapse was a weeknight game, but maybe G7 was Easter Sunday? I was as Keith Jackson would say, "a Sophomore" (HS) and went to G1 with a buddy who was a Habs fan (Dad was a Montrealer). B's won 3-1 and Orr got ejected late and Don Awrey choked Marc Tardif unconscious... lol. Zinged my buddy on the bus home, but he had last laugh.

This is the one game where I don't care about the tank or the draft or the future. Just beat the Habs and dampen their playoff dreams. Time for the players to step up and show some pride in the uniform, in the history, in the city they represent. They've looked better the last couple of games. Keep building on that, go the next level and win here and I don't care if they drop every other game left. This is the last event left in this miserable season that matters. Make it a happy one.
Agree...put the tank on hold when it comes to Montreal

My love for the Bruins is far greater than my hatred of Montreal. Thus, the Bruins gotta lose tonight. I don't see how we could want it any other way. After tonight I will go back to hoping Montreal gets fired into the sun, but for tonight I want Montreal to squeak out a regulation win. I'd like all of the Canadiens to regret playing the game for one reason or another, but not until they get the regulation win.

I thought you were anti-tanking? Welcome to the dark side!

Actually I want a win tonight. Just one. If they don't though, still works for us.

This is America. No one is denying you your hatred.

Easter Sunday afternoon, 1971?
The series that showed Bobby being mortal.
He made his fair share of mistakes in this game plus in game 7.

My buddy's and I met with Rejean Houle when he was GM of the Habs about 4 hours before gametime at his suite at Hotel McDonald in Edmonton in '96(?)
We chatted about this series. I do believe he scored the winner in game 7.
He said that in the last week of the season Montreal played Boston twice and got smoked in both.
If you look it up they played Phil Myre, the other Rogie Vachon.

It is then Montreal decided to go with Ken Dryden. They had no choice.
The rest is crap....I mean history.

Not that it matters how I think but anything that gets us closer to a better pick or better odds to win the lottery I’m all in. The Habs are loaded. We need a home run this draft.
