This game scarred me for life
Easter Sunday afternoon, 1971?
This game scarred me for life
Yeah, not sure why it has to be Viel or Lysell sitting. What do Beecher and Brown bring to the table?I fully expect Wifi to run around a bit, then.
That's one less guy on the Bruins willing to throw a body check.
Beecher has photos of Sacco. I'm 100% convinced of that.Yeah, not sure why it has to be Viel or Lysell sitting. What do Beecher and Brown bring to the table?
It is disgraceful to root for the Habs. You’re a Treasonweasel.Hard disagree. Rooting for the Bruins to win right now - against anyone - is rooting against the long term success of the team. And I hate the Habs as much as anybody.
Like everything tank this season, it's complex and conflicting for me. I also come from a generation that was probably less aware of how awful those late 70s Habs teams were to play against and how they owned the Bruins. I lived in So Cal from 1975-1980 and barely saw the Bruins play unless it was against the Kings which was just about the only hockey I could watch on the local station. Thus, my Hab hate is probably not quite as strong as it is for those a few years older, and also those who were local in those brutal years. Sorry for the mini-life story, but I say all that to say that while I hate the Habs, my desire for the Bruins to be a great team again, part of which means getting as good a draft pick this year as possible, trumps the necessity of beating Montreal. I mean, I won't cry if the Bruins win, and I will enjoy it, but a bigger part of me hopes they lose so the tank can lock in that top 5 pick as soon as possible.
We're not rooting for the Habs to win. We're not all decked out in Montreal jerseys waiving pom poms, we're just hoping the Bruins stay where they are in the standings. They beat the habs, so what? What's the gain there? They move out of the top 4 overall pick and jump to the 6 overall pick.It is disgraceful to root for the Habs. You’re a Treasonweasel.
I don’t want a win but I’m not of the opinion of others being dumb because they have a different view than mine.Wrong yes, dumb no.Again, dumb. They're sitting at the 4th overall pick.
Yes, I believe it's dumb for people to want to win a stupid game in the middle of a tank because it's Montreal. A loss is far more beneficial than a win here.I don’t want a win but I’m not of the opinion of others being dumb because they have a different view than mine.Wrong yes, dump no. Lol
Your just smarter than mostYes, I believe it's dumb for people to want to win a stupid game in the middle of a tank because it's Montreal.
It's a no brainer.Give me the best chance at a franchise altering player for the next 15 years over a useless win over a team I haven't cared about since Obama was in office.
This... Sorry everyone but this team needs the highest pick available... Not a win over the habs. You can still make life miserable for them and make them bleed!Lose. Make them bleed. But definitely lose.
I get it, but I want one more win this season.Lose. Make them bleed. But definitely lose.
I agree. The NHL would be better if Montreal were a contender. Nothing beats watching a game in Montreal. It is not a corporate fanbase like Toronto.
