This is the first game of the season where I'm actually hoping for a loss. Up to this point I still was hoping to at least stay in the playoff race for experience's sake. At this point, they know they're out. I don't think we are playing meaningful playoff race games anymore. So just lose out and get a good pick.

At this time of the seaseon and where we are, I value higher draft pick over higher position in the standings.

It's been couple of weeks already since I don't care much, but 8 or 12 not going to give you much at the draft

Why not call up Wallinder and waive Holl? Let Cossa play. The season is over. Give us something. Call up Danielson. Wtf?
I get that its fun to see prospects, but neither Wallinder or Danielson are ready for the NHL. Among defensemen in the AHL, Tuo is probably the most NHL ready and could play the same role as Holl but im not convinced he would be any better. Among forwards, Lombardi might be the only guy worth seeing right now. With that said, the Griffins are gearing up for a playoff push and having their best players will help them much more than it would help the Wings. Taking Tuo or Lombardi would be a huge loss to the Griffins, while its likely that neither of them move the needle for the Wings at this point in time.

I get it. But as a Wings fan primarily I don't care at all about GR's playoff push. Wings are the priority in my mind. I'd poach any player down there at the drop of a dime for anything to improve the big club.

Wish Wings brass felt the same way. GR seems the priority-other teams sign big names as FA opens, SY signs AHL talent.

As a fan I don't care about the GR's playoff push. In terms of the prospects on that team though, I do want them to get playoff experience in the AHL if possible.

The big guy is back again. Let's hope for a big game from Elmer. Talbot to start. He earned it even though we lost. I'm just gonna nonchalantly follow the games now. I'll check in and if we're winning I'll watch if we're losing probably won't bother too much.

"Not all canes are made of candy, and not all ratios are dandy, but the 'Canes' points differential against Detroit is +2:-1 at +46 to -23, and one could gin up some hope that given the state of the race in the East, Carolina might think taking off a period or two tonight against the Wings might come in...

Handy."
