There was a point where they seemed to play better on the PK than Even Strength! And how many short-handers did they score?! Unbelievable stuff.

They're playing similar minutes to the last 5 years of their careers

Eh, you'd have had a point earlier in the year. But Skinner cleaned up his defensive game and was wildly outplaying everyone else he was competing against long before he finally got into the lineup every night.

This is basically the first year of McDrai where they’ve both been injured for significant periods of time. We’ve been pretty fortunate.

Also fortunate that they built up enough of a cushion early on that this isn’t pin and needles down the stretch.

Im not sure why you hate Skinner so much. He is 3rd on the oilers on g/60. Since Jan 1 he has been one of the best defensive players too. Didn’t Arvy score the game winner against Vegas?

Meh, say whatever you like. For me he is the best coach we have had since Kevin Lowe. And that was like 20yrs ago.
