Wings fan here will be watchin the game. Had Gabe as a top 5 pick in the draft and excited to see his first game. He truly has some of the some of the most elite passing vision i’ve ever seen. Very kucherov esque. Will be fun to watch!
Yeah yeah, look we're not falling for this shit again, okay?

gotta give Lavi credit with those forward lines (Not so sure about the d)
Kreider should probably be out but 4th line ok whatever.
Let's hope he sticks to it for a while and not bench the kid in the 3rd period.

Perreault 3 goals in the first 5 minutes of the game. MSG goes wild.

Rangers then give up 4 goals in the 3rd and lose 4-3 in regulation

So back in NY. Had a great time in OC/Anaheim

My last Rangers game I watched was on Friday, in person. I was quite entertained that a young Ducks team found a way to come back and win against an experienced team with a past Vezina winning goaltender.

I was quite happy Leo Carlsson had his break out game when I was in town. He actually ended up with 7 points in the 3 games I attended over there. Was unfortunate that his break out game was against my other team. But it has been more exciting for me watching a young Ducks team who is more coaching flawed than player flawed. But also still young and inexperienced and have stayed at .500 from goaltending and young talent like McTavish and Carlsson.

This Rangers team has experienced coaching, lots of experienced players, and lots of elite talent yet they are only separated from a young and inexperienced, badly coached Ducks team by 3 points.

I guess what I’m saying is , if you want to go ballistic on this team if they lose tonight, have fun, don’t hold back (but please follow the rules, lol)

Just want to be honest with how I feel. Sorry.
The thing about the talent is that, yes it exists, but the game has changed a lot.

There was a time when, if you had 2 or 3 big names, that was a lot of talent. Nowadays, the game is more skilled than it's ever been before.

Look at team like Tampa. Kucherov is borderline generational. Hagel has turned into a 90-point player. Point is an elite center. Guentzel is an elite player. Hedman is an elite player. Cirelli is a 1st line center at even strength. We know how talented McDonagh is. Oliver Bjorkstand and Yanni Gourde are on their third line. The team is absolutely overflowing with skill. And here's the thing -- they're arguably not a top 5 team!

Carter Verhaeghe is like, what, Florida's fourth best forward? He would be our best by a lot. The Avs have two firmly top 10 players in the world, closer to top 5. The Oilers do have two firmly top 5 players in the world. The top teams in the league are just overwhelming.

When we talk about our talent, I do think it's there, but I don't think people realize that we're in an era where one elite guy at every position isn't that much talent anymore.
