Wyshynski is still a clown, he flat out said he thinks their turnaround in analytics is solely due to their competition post deadline.

This despite the fact that the Rangers got boat raced in analytics all season by shit teams even when they won so them having improved underlying numbers regardless of opponent is a positive sign. The critique all year was that their underlying numbers were shit which showed that despite the record that the team was playing poorly. Well now the numbers are better but now that's apparently not good evidence of them improving their process after making key trade deadline acquisitions but instead just proof that their schedule has been easy? That's a bad faith reading of the information and Wyshinski should be embarrassed that that is his takeaway from it. Spoiler alert, if the Rangers played this exact schedule pre TDL their numbers would've been shitty and not good. It's extremely easy to see, he just doesn't want to admit it because he hates the Rangers so he's being willfully obtuse.

Only the brain rot brought on by 40+ years of Devils fandom could explain his position.
