This is such a annoying complaint. Canes are way faster and we still handled them. People need to stop acting like speed is the be all end all. Boston is slow as f*** and they have been picking apart teams left and right. Hell Tampa won two cups with one of the slower teams in the league
carolina isn't as skilled as NJ is for one, which is why the Rangers have had more success against them than they have NJ.

I think I speak for everyone when I say im ready for some turnover on this team. Inject some speed and balls on this team

Jack Hughes has absolutely elite insane edges. Tight turns are so effortless for him. I don't know if these things can be taught after a certain age but goddamn, this is missing from Kakko and Laf big time.
Kakko has edges. He just doesn't have the burst in and out of the turns the way hughes does.

Maybe this is just the team taking it as any old regular season game and a tune up for the playoffs. Maybe we learned from the lightning that we just need to take it up a notch in a couple weeks and to save it in the tank for then lol

Still better than the 1st period against Carolina last week.

Getting their teeth kicked in in the reg season to pound into their heads that turnovers = death against this team would not be the worst thing

Its only good if they understand the lesson and learn from it.

We don't play enough like that. We're slow and didn't get the memo that we're slow.
This is Lafreniere and Kakko's ticket to longevity in this league. Lafreniere has shown shades of being able to and Kakko literally has the best skill set on the team for it besides Kreider but neither have shown the willingness. Both guys can be 30 goal garbagemen if they're coached to do it.

The fans are the ones i think hyping this game up more than it is. Yes its a big game for seeding but with all the cup champs and vets on this team i think they learned that you have to save some in the tank for the playoffs. Hopefully this is what is going on. Doesnt explain going down 2-0 though

I know people disagree with this (always give a 100% etc), but I don't know why we should go all in and risk injuries in games like this. Even with Lindy back we can't afford big injuries at D. Play 90% today and surprise them come playoff time.

This thread just seems to be those who realize both teams are comfortable in the playoffs vs. those who have been traumatized by the post-lockout Rangers trademark of not taking rivalry games seriously.

These games really bring out the worst in everyone.
