Post-Game Talk: GAME 75 - Losing streak at 9 - second longest in franchise history - Washington 4 BRUINS 3

Only Nash, Flames, and Sharks have scored few goals. Let's say SWay absolutely robs/steals 5 games.
We're going into Hab-land tied for the 8th seed with THIS lineup, with THIS prospect pool.

But sure Ovi standing alone with a tap-in needs to be stopped. Dowd's perfect snipe on 2 on 1, oh wait, lets talk his salary. Collosal defensive gaps take their toll. No SWay has not been Top 10. No goalie who ever played would be with this lineup. Look at Igor too. Terrible D-structure makes elite goalies look average. Ullmark terrible tonight ... outplayed by Reimer.

But sure lets embrace a future of the Korpi/Bussi tandumb.

A baker's dozen shorties given up for a shockingly pathetic PP. A shockingly pathetic PK. Both bad all season. THose, despite everything else, is the story of this pathetic season.

Hell, during the 4-Nations, how many here wanted Brady for Pasta straight up?

It was good to see Beecher with a pulse. Interested to see if Letteri becomes a 20-goal scorer somewhere else in the NHL. Veal parm with a gutsy scrap. Wow. Team played hard, it was good to watch for a while.
swayman isnt going to be stealing any games.lol

That all I want for the rest of the season. Beat them scumbags
Im going to say it. I Grew up hating the Habs, but have grown to respect just how great those teams were back in the 70's and would always root for them, to not only lose, but to get the $hit kicked out of them when they lost, but if losing to the Habs this year helps us end up getting a Misa or a Schaefer I hope they beat us, but Pasta scores a couple.

By beating the Habs it could also end up costing us a player like Frondell or Hagens, in a season where the year is a already a loss, I see no great achievement by beating the habs and possibly knocking us down on the pecking order of getting an impact player for the future.

Habs are my second team . I'm hoping they make the playoffs

I turned the game off to watch a rocket launch but it was scrubbed due to fog. I didn't turn the game back on. That should tell you something about how bad this team is that a die hard Bruin fanatic such as myself had no desire to continue watching them.
After the first period I turned on TCM to watch It's a Mad, Mad, Mad World. But I did flip back to see the B's rally.

Liked the effort across the board. IMO that's on Sacco.

Lysell's got to earn something. Produced nothing in 5 games so far this year and he's got the type of game that needs to produce to be in the lineup. I'm rooting for him but he's got to pull a little weight.
I hear what you're saying, but it rings hollow when Oliver Wahlstrom got 17 games and Brown/Letteri literally cleared waivers yesterday and still were in the lineup over him.

There's no point not to play him whether you think he's good or not.

Grew up in a small town where you were either a Bruins fan or a Habs fan and we only got 4 channels on the TV (depending on weather)and one of them was french channel 9 that carried the Habs and the other was CBC that carried the leafs, so when I wasn't listening to Bob Wilson I was watching either the Leafs or the Habs and I became a big fan of Sittler, Salming and company, so I guess the leafs are my 2nd team, but dam the Canadiens ? lol

Need to keep them in check, I hope Veil and Z piss their fans off with a smack or two

He has speed and talent which 80% of the roster does not have. They offered absolutely nothing. Even without scoring he offers more.

I don't hate Montreal like I used to. They've got some fun, young players there. Hutson is f***ings special.

I hate the players more than I hate the jersey they wear. The Habs of 10-15 years ago were as unlikable as they come. They were right up there with Vancouver for my two most hated teams of that era.

A ton of good thoughts in this thread

-starting with Fenway's observation this isn't a one-year phenomenon...given that with the exception of Kastleic- no forwards are out with an injury doesn't speak well to next year's fortunes

-coaches focus on the short-term and player development comes second- Lysell being out while Brown et. al. are in makes this clear....even during a nine game losing streak and with no hope of making the playoffs

-whether the Sway we see this year is a one year aberration or the result of teams identifying and capitalizing on high glove will be a major factor next year ....a return to prior form would go a long way to turning the ship around next year

-was at last night's game and the team did not fold in periods two and three...that's the good news, but when you don't have the talent, effort might keep you close but it usually won't get you the W

If the Bruins have their top two d in the line up they win more than they lose in some of these games.

They both are that good.

Yes he should ..... for one more tank year ..... with the same lineup.

Monty Burns will not allow another tank year. This is it.
