Meanwhile I’m stuck with this:

Heard on 32 Thoughts (Elliot Freidman podcast)that Monty could get some consideration for the Adams Trophy.
I would think that would be hilarious!!!
Their on a 10 game winning streak and at the same-time the Bruins are on a 9 game win-less streak ain't that some $hit.

Not saying things would be different if he was still here, but someone in that front office needs to take a good hard look in the mirror before he hands out anymore pink-slips, and another one before he hires his new coach. Some are saying Monty already had one foot out the door and wasn't going to re-sign with the bruins so Sweeney cut bait, maybe true, but dam, you as the GM made the decision in the first place to bring this guy on board, right or wrong it all falls on you. It comes with the territory your responsible for putting this team together from the head coach down. Not to better the Blues chances of winning a another Cup. In 2019 it was Binnington, 2025 Monty. I think army owes Sweeney a life time of steak dinners.

Liked the effort across the board. IMO that's on Sacco.

Lysell's got to earn something. Produced nothing in 5 games so far this year and he's got the type of game that needs to produce to be in the lineup. I'm rooting for him but he's got to pull a little weight.

Lysell ranks second on shot attempts and third in individual high-danger chances since drawing in.

Outside of Pasta and his two side kicks who has been better offensively and more important who's your future (hopefully) you have to let him play in games like these, its not like he's going to cost the Bruins a playoff spot. These games should be managed with an eye on the future, not with eyes on players who will either be in the A next year or not even part of the Bruins organization.

Kind of funny to read "who's been better offensively" than the guy who hasn't registered a point.

He's getting an opportunity but needs to do something with it at some point. I mean he wasn't exactly lighting it up in Providence either.

I'm rooting for him but he's got to help the cause.

The entire team is offensively inept. Judging just in points is crazy. Regardless, keeping him out of this game because of some playing style bullshit at this point in the season is incompetent.

I don't think Lysell will turn out to be much of an NHL player. Just another one of DS's possible 4th liners that we have plenty of. I do not think DS will make the correct pick even if we draft 5th, just not in his DNA.

Time to find someone who can select players that are really potential top 6 players.

No doubt this offense is anemic, but thats my point, so why sit the one guy who ranks second on shot attempts and third in individual high-danger chances since his recall and is hopefully part of your future over guys who aren't.

Dude.. come on… you saw the game out there!! He would’ve been killed!!

Me wanting Lysell in the lineup is just about watching something interesting. These grade A JAGs in the middle 6 are so uninteresting to watch. Lysell has no points but atleast he made some things happen on that California road trip.

Dont even get me started on Beecher. He had the most Luis Mendoza from Mighty Ducks moment I’ve seen all season last night. Blazing speed on a 1 on 1 and instead of driving the net or even just shooting the puck from an angle, he goes crashing into the end boards and turns the puck over with not even a shot in goal. Hilarious entertainment honestly.

I liked Sways game last night,

Not playing Lysell is just typical for this organizations ability to develop players.

Yet we see Beecher and Koepke floating around the ice like the ice capades.

God help us the next 5 years

Beecher is history I would think?

You realize that over the last 5 games (of which Lysell only played 4) that Lysell at 5v5 is tied in SOG among all Bruins. He ranks 2nd in individual expected goals with a 0.71 ixG and trailing only Pastrnak 0.74 ixG. He's also tied for 1st on the team in individual high danger chances.

FF% - 2nd
SF% - 2nd
GF% - 2nd
xGF% - 2nd

^That's among all Bruins at 5v5 over the last 5 games.

"He would of gotten killed" id say thats a little bit dramatic. Last I knew the 2025 Washington Capitals weren't the mid-seventies Broadstreet Bullies.

But even if so, you have to play him and see what you got over the likes of guys who you know are career AHlers or at best tweeners, imo.

You don't think he's played in some downright thuggery games down in the AHL ?

For me its a game where he can show, he wont disappear in. Go out there and compete hard, maybe something Sacco should of hammered into his head, sat him down and gave him some confidence to go out there and show he can play and compete hard at this level, not sit him for the reason he stated.
