Yes and no. I am not all up in arms about it because I was pissed with his lack of visibility against the Blues. If ever there was a game not to disappear and that tailored made to showcase why he is with the big club, it was that game. Also the missed hit on Jackson Blake in Caroline game that directly led to a goal against, surely didn't help his cause. Based on MSL treatment of X in the past, I'd say it's a strategic decision aimed at his development, and that s also based on the team's overall performance, which has been good ever since he's been scratched. When he gets his chance again, he needs to play like he wants it. Hoping Slaf is next - last game, he too kinda-like sucked. I get it he is young, but not so young anymore. JMO.

There's no chance Slaf is benched. It would also be a terribly dumb decision.
