GDT: GAME 74: Some playoff team in Texas (47-21-4) at YOUR ELIMINATED SEATTLE KRAKEN (31-36-6), 7:30pm PDT

Dallas piling up the power plays, but not generating much offense in them. Play seems almost polite.

The second period reminded me of a soccer "friendly" in Europe in which the main purpose for the teams is to make sure nobody gets hurt.

Interesting. I didn’t see that at all.
Except for that four second dust up with Eyssimont standing up for himself, I saw little contact and no real urgency. I concede, my mind did wander here and there, so I may have actually missed something in those few moments, but overall it looked pretty bland and non-threatening to me.

As a Kraken fan I have to say it is a little upsetting and embarassing that there is no push back. We don't stand up for ourselves or our own players. f***ing push back. They just take liberties against us and we are taking that beating like we are freaking victims.

That Nyman kid looks like the real or should I say the "reel" deal!!!GMFrancis and scouts struck Gold there
He has made some sloppy mistakes today but that is to be expected given he is playing his 9th game. As long as he learns and keeps improving defensively. If he can focus this offseason on adding some muscle and his skating, and even improve on those slightly, he could be even better next season.

I dunno. I don’t really find the game so far to be very physical or lacking physicality. There’s been moments where it got a bit heated.

I kind of wonder if it’s my perception too though.

Players like Nyman give the faithful hope that the future is going to be bright

I used to find the Stars a chore to watch, but these days they have a lot of talent. I'm kind of paying more attention now.
For me they distinctly fell off when Benn aged into his "plodding unrepentant douche" phase and started cheap shotting people.
