First line been struggling. Maybe Toffoli is sandbagging them so he doesn't have to do any more sleepovers.
Clearly tired, we see Smith and Celebrini are dead last on the game chart. They have to get used to the grind of an 82-game NHL season.
Michkov and Hutson were re-energized by the Four Nations break. I think the grind of the season is an overly simple answer for why they aren't producing lately. The amount of time we spend digging pucks out of our own end doesn't help though.
Is it just deadline deals? Because Mathieu Olivier was had for a 4th. Mason Appleton was also trade for a 4th back in 2022. Same with Frank Vatrano.
I do think a shot clock of some sort makes sense they should get it over with in like 4 seconds
Poor line construction. Our two best F1s are Eklund and Graf and coach has them on the same line. Will Smith cannot play F1 at this time.
Felt this way since W vs. CHI. They are running an elite tank to finish the year. I’ve been expecting 2nd for 2 weeks now. Is what it is but hoping to be pleasantly surprised
