The funny thing is that established bottom six players are readily available through Free Agency or the trade market at worst.Yes. Only 11% of 4th rounders make it to 100 NHL games, which obviously includes guys like Ostapchuk who are gifted a huge chunk of those games by favorable injury/depth situations.
he can cupcheck with the best of emSign Thornton out of retirement to play D.
This must be that sarcasm you were talking about. The current reality: The Sharks with Celebrini and Smith at the helm might already be completely f***ing toast if they won't even defend their teammates.
yay lane pedestrian referenceLane Pederson was more effective than Ostapchuk. Considering I've never seen a worse player, idek where they go from here if Grier thinks he's the 4C
Retirement?Goodrow needs to take a run at somebody.
Name the last time a "hidden gem" or "established NHLer" who is better than a 4th liner was acquired for a 4th round pick. The funny thing is that established bottom six players are readily available through Free Agency or the trade market at worst.
So, it's a philosophical approach, do you use a mid-round draft pick to find a hidden gem or in a trade for an established NHLer, or do you hope to get a prospect that tops out at a 4th liner.
A little but it was disgusting to sit and watch the "future" watch their #1 organizational defenseman (yes he is better than dicky) get his shoulder separated and do nothing. You guys can pay money for tickets to watch that shit but I won'tThis must be that sarcasm you were talking about.

They’re 18 and 20, and while I won’t be surprised to see Celebrini fight at some point in the future, I would be surprised to see Smith fight at any point in his career.A little but it was disgusting to sit and watch the "future" watch their #1 organizational defenseman (yes he is better than dicky) get his shoulder separated and do nothing. I will also be surprised to see Smith win even a participation trophy in the NHL as well. They’re 18 and 20, and while I won’t be surprised to see Celebrini fight at some point in the future, I would be surprised to see Smith fight at any point in his career.
Ostapchuk isn't an established 4th liner. That's like saying Ferraro is an establish top pairing Dman.Name the last time a "hidden gem" or "established NHLer" who is better than a 4th liner was acquired for a 4th round pick.
I heard Larry Robinson was back in town. What's Michalek doing? He could probably do it if he had a family member who could show him the ropes.

I will say, I admire your determination to make sure Ferraro catches strays in every argument you make.Ostapchuk isn't an established 4th liner. That's like saying Ferraro is an establish top pairing Dman.
