We are just as much risk of falling to Pac2 as winning the conference. So they can't let up really.
And I know Sutter has said he doesn't care. But let's be honest. This team has never won a conference and only won the division once. So as an organization you can't tell me they wouldn't like it to happen.

Not to mention the only thing the Ducks are ever going to win is the division. It would be nice to snatch that away from them as well. :naughty:

Yeah, but putting someone that can score down there by themselves is just going to waste that player's ice time. Spreading it out only works if you have enough offensive guys in the line up.

that makes perfect sense. i guess sutter went playoff mode already, just trying to use the time for all sorts of experiments. btw, if - and that's a huge if - but, if this one works THEN it will become really complicated, with all the options and a promising center in the bunch. gah, this season is hard to follow, with such roster changes. fluid stuf, lak is like a river again, never the same.
 
Keeping in mind we have Gaborik, Lecavalier, Versteeg on the sidelines, if Dowd proves to be a good 4C, christ we are loaded at forward for the playoffs. Shades of calling up King and Nolan for a 2012 spark .

But only one of those is a lock to come back. I hope Versteeg is back but I just don't trust it when he is in LA while the team is on the trip. Why didn't he travel? Makes me think it's something more. Just hope I am being paranoid here.
And of course Gaborik is the long shot. But if he does come back this team just becomes scary up front for the playoff run.

I wouldn't be worried about Steeg. Even if he broke his toe nail they would not want him to play on the road trip. Why rush any player when we have clinched a playoff spot?

Last update said that Gaborik would be back for the playoffs, just not the regular season.

Last update said they hope to have him back. Unless I missed one someplace along the line.

Please no. Kings lost 5 of 6 after calling up Nolan and King.
 
This play-by-play guy sounds like he's calling the game while trying to balance on a really tall chair.
