Yeah but compare the rosters + prospects. Who do they have? Larkin, Raymond and Kasper up front? Might be missing someone. Then it's Seider and Edvinsson. Vs : Power and Dahlin and Chabot and Sanderson (and more). Buf also has Thompson, Tuch, Cozens, Quinn, Peterka, Krebs, while the sens have Stützle (what a beaut), Tkachuk, Debrincat, Batherson, Norris, etc...

Idk I feel like Detroit has no depth and not a whole lot of high end players.

Well clearly it wasn't the right decision at the time as Tkachuk is scoring more goals than KK is producing points. When it comes to drafting this high, you absolutely have to use hindsight to know if it was the right or wrong choice because otherwise you will never be held accountable. Did the Canucks not make the wrong decision drafting Virtanen and Juolevi instead of Nylander/Ehlers and Tkachuk? B.Tkachuk had questionable top line upside but I think everyone knew he was a safe bet to be a 2nd liner.

And KK looked like a 2nd liner and Zadina should have been a 1st liner like his countryman Necas.

I mean this is just blatantly disingenuous. KK definitely had more of a bust factor than Tkachuk. Zadina was not seen as a guaranteed 1st liner the same way Tkachuk was seen as a guaranteed (but limited) 2nd liner.

That’s a joke, Debrincat is one of my favorite player lol i just think Cole is an even better goal scorer.
