Sabres spending a 2nd on a big 4th liner who has 3 goals in 53 games this year instead of getting a dman or a goalie is horrible. 5 30 goalscorers and 2 recent 1st OA on the backend and he's wasting a year.

Also, Hackett and Thibault were worse starting goalies for the Habs.

Allen has been consistently terrible since coming to Montreal. He's had a few good stretches, but overall, he lets in a ton of awful goals.

Hackett was decent. I remember Thibault being okay but was put in a horrible position. Montembeault has been good this year in front of the same team.

Allen stinks.

These kids are just Uber talented and shooting accurately from everywhere. You can't totally fault Allen on that. He was in a good position. It's not like Caulfield or Suzuki haven't done the same thing on other goalies. Sometimes you just can't stop these guys.

Yeah sometimes I wonder about the lasting merits of the RVH which these skilled players are really good at exploiting

I've never been a goalie so I don't know how doable that would be, but couldn't they selectively alternate between VH and RVH depending on the situation? In this instance with a LH coming outside with no threat of a cross-ice pass a VH would've prevented that goal

I love Dach! So glad we have him. He has physical attributes that Suzuki just doesn't have. I hear people keep saying he's going to be the real #1 C when all is said and done. But I still feel Suzuki is the better player, and his true worth won't be truly appreciated until this team is in a much better state. Suzuki with help is going to be great.
