As much as I dislike the Red Wings I still hope the B's lose
..the farther they fall ..the better the pick

..and the more teams fighting for the last wildcard spot the better, because it will lessen the habs chances of making the playoffs

I'm not hoping for a tank. I remember this fella named Wickenheiser, supposedly
a premier pick. Then there was this other fella named Daigle...didn't work out so
well either. So it might be that a higher pick "might" be better,....it ain't a sure bet.

In watching Sportsnet today (NHL and Blue Jays games)…..it is VERY depressing to see ads for the Stanley Cup playoffs and know the Bruins won’t be in it. What a disaster this year has been and will continue to be. It cannot end soon enough for me.

Yeah, top picks are never guaranteed to work out, but it should increase the chances for a quality player (although I don't really trust Sweeney)

I hate tanking on purpose, but it doesn't serve the Bruins well to win any more games at this point

Relax everyone. We want the Bruins to go out and play a loose game where nobody gets hurt. We play okay but lose. The best news is to keep losing and get a top 5-6 pick. They haven’t been in this position for a long time. Let’s get excited about the draft.

You'd think surely the Bruins are due a better game, but who knows with this poor motley roster and where things have been at lately.

It's at least been relieving, in a way, that the guys who departed haven't suddenly turned into world-beaters elsewhere. Coyle's only had 2 apples in 10 games with the Avs, otherwise seems to be doing just ok. Same goes for Carlo. Jones has been horrible in Edmonton, Freddy can't even get healthy. Marchand of course is a different caliber of player and now he's fit I'm sure he'll do well in Florida. But overall it's at least something to note that whatever has been wrong with these guys this year, it wasn't just down to being in Boston.

It's similar to watching the movie PLAN 9 FROM OUTER SPACE. The more you watch it the more you realize it's such a terrible film that it becomes a decent comedy.
