I will be working a game 50 miles south of Detroit, and Disney will provide a car to get to the Bruins game. I will be fine if the BU/Cornell game ends on time.

Fascinating that the Bruins and Detroit are dead even in their lifetime - 260-260-9-5

I expect Sean McDonough to be honest about the mess both franchises are in right now.

Boston Bruins Updates: The Latest On Nikita Zadorov

Boston Bruins defenseman Nikita Zadorov did not play during the club's March 26 contest against the Anaheim Ducks. This is because the left-shot defenseman left the team to return to Boston to deal with a family matter.

The Bruins certainly struggled defensively without Zadorov in the lineup, as they lost by a 6-2 final score to the Ducks. However, it appears that No. 91 won't miss more time from here.

Zadorov has returned to the team and was a participant at their March 28 practice. This is certainly good news for the Bruins, especially when noting that the Bruins end their road trip on March 29 against the Detroit Red Wings.

While speaking to reporters, Bruins interim head coach Joe Sacco noted that it was good for the team that Zadorov returned to practice.

"It's good to have Z back with the group again," Sacco said. "Skated today and was able to get a practice in before tomorrow. We need him back in there."

Now that Zadorov is back for the Bruins, he will aim to help the team snap their seven-game losing streak from here. In 72 games this season, he has four goals, 17 points, 135 penalty minutes, 183 hits, and a plus-14 rating.

With the last places teams getting points , it becoming more and more interesting!!! Let’s go wings , top 5 pick on the radar

Bruins are absolutely in worse shape now and in the future. This game is an automatic
Detroit win and by year end I expect to see Detroit up on Boston by 7-8 points.

Detroit has a core in place with Seider, Edvinnson on D and Larkin, Raymond, DeBrincat and Kasper up front. They have prospects like ASP (D), Cossa (G) and Danielson (C) that are better than anything Boston has.

It's unlikely they make the PO this year but why is McDonough going to slam Detroit?
There immediate future looks better than Boston's.

I hope to god we don't suck as long as the wings have to get those prospects, by the why they still suck

Because this is what, year 7 of the Detroit rebuild and they still can’t make the playoffs? Because with all that tanking they still don’t have a true elite player? Because the #Yzerplan has been incredibly unsuccessful? I can go on…

Maybe because this will be their 9th straight season missing the playoffs.

Bruins, Celtics, Sox all on at essentially the same time tonight  In my world, Sox get the big screen, check intermittently on the Celtics, Bruins on my laptop. Been a long time since the final handful Bruins games were meaningless except for assessing who is worth keeping. It’s downright sad watching them, but I can’t help myself. Sigh….

Lol, WTH does what you have posted have to do with what I stated?

As far as elite players go, Seider and Edvinnson absolutely have the potential to garner All Starr status like McAvoy or Lindhom have.

“Why is McDonaugh going to slam Detroit?”

Potential sure. They’re years and years into a rebuild and don’t have an elite player in their roster.

They are 3 points from a PO position and missed the PO on the final day last year. Be absolutely ridiculous for McDonough to slam Detroit or lump them in together as being in equivalent positions.

You’re right about lumping them together - Detroit deserves a lot more criticism for where they are. Fighting for the playoffs for the first time in a decade and they’re 3-7 in their last 10. You realize the Wings fans are pretty unhappy with the team right?

I mean, look at their roster. They should be a playoff team.
