I once (earlier this season) posted the question "will Keller embrace his inner Patrick Kane and start shooting more" and as if he read my words, he indeed did, the very next game. I wish I'd have made that query yet again prior to the Oiler game. Point being, so much offense goes through him, he sets the pace and the pp in particular needs that desperately. I firmly believe the Oiler game would have looked much different had we capitalized on at least one, of what I believe were two early pp's. Last night he was slightly better on the last, or second to last pp and we were far closer to an actual result, than we've been for some time now. Perfect practice makes perfect and let's face it, these are practice games.
Despite what Naych_PHX posted, I believe we were more physical (D included) early in last nights tilt and I also believe that was extremely helpful. I can agree, it's not enough. We need to be big, mean and forceful, which is what I thought BA was going after.
All in all a pretty good game for an obviously mentally exhausted team, that's still on the learn.
