Tonight really was a must win. Nashville is primarily a team of washed up and declining veterans. Couldn't lose to this group with the playoffs on the line.

Their future looks bleak.

This is how the team wins. No, you’re not going to score 8 every game, that’s not what I mean, and that much should be obvious. When they say “our game” it should mean skate pass score. They are more likely to win out scoring an opponent than shutting them down.

We need to switch up the 4th line. This version of it is just not it. Ideally, the Silly-Danny-Olivier line would be the 4th line.

Kuraly line is absolutely garbage, I have no idea what needs to happen for Evason to admit it

Man, Severson regressed to much throughout this season, I don’t see him more than a 3rd pair guy at this point

That contract is a disaster. He's just not an NHL goalie. I really hope Waddell has the same realization that he did with Laine in that he will never bring a team a Stanley Cup and cut bait and buy him out.

Yeah, I think it's silly from that POV as well.

Though there is this weird perception about putting out your good PP guys when it's a blowout, shrug.

(I would be insulted that they are not always playing their best if I was their opponent, heh)

Exactly. The current 4th line should all be scratches, or at least the 2 wingers. If it wasn’t towards the end of the season in a playoff race, I’d say Chinny-LDBB-JvR should be the third line right now. That may even be the case regardless.
