Afternoon game in South Florida. First game of a home and home with the defending champs.

We have had our little dip in our play....and now it is time to rise back up again. Thankfully the teams around us haven't been doing much and we are still in control of our destiny. A win puts us back into WC2 over the Rangers with one game in hand on them.

While the last game was the mustiest of must wins....this game feels even mustier.

WE MUST WIN!!!!

GHG!

I thought they said we had the easiest schedule the last 20 games .What a bunch of BS .The only easy team lately was the Flyers and we blew that one
It’s a strength of schedule relative to other teams based on opposition pts %

Also a contributor to why Habs have the best record (albeit marginally) over last 10GP vs their competition for 2nd wildcard spot

Down the stretch - Det have toughest schedule, NYR 4th toughest, NYI 6th, CBJ 8th, and Habs 25th or 8th easiest which will skyrocket to easiest in the NHL after Fla back-to-backs

At the end of the day, all that matters is who collects pts & who doesn’t / loses in regulation

Hopefully Slafkovsky has a good game tonight. His decision making has been off lately.

We need a change and something to spark the team. Trying Laine on the first line wouldn't be a bad idea if we keep sliding in the standings.

Man Laine has been terrible lately. Can't see us resigning him .He is a one trick Pony with the one timer. When teams key on that he provides nothing else.We need a completely new 2nd line next year

It would be insane not to resign Laine. We need MORE goalscorers not FEWER. He has 31 points in 42 games, and he makes our PP very dangerous. He has a 30+ goals per season pace. How can you even begin to blame Laine for the Habs' trouble?

People need to get used to the fact that this is what he is, and it's plenty. Give him Demidov next year and you don't know what it does for him at 5 on 5.

Next year? I’m hoping next weekend… 🤞

Montreal needs to make the best of having the easiest schedule because we will lose most every tie-breaker if we end up even for points with the teams we are competing against to get into the playoffs (except for Columbus).

We da best! Ghg ~~~
